Jackson Hole...here we come!

We just got back from vacationing in Jackson Hole for a family reunion. It was a lot of fun to get to spend time with my family that I haven't seen in a long time. Almost everyone was there. Blair and Heidi and their boys couldn't make it, but all the girls were able to come.

While we were there we did a lot of fun activities. We went to Bubba's for ribs the first night. They were awesome! We drove into Teton Village on the second day and went up the tram to the top of the ski lift.
Matt and I also went on the bungie tramp thing that they had at Teton Village. It was pretty scary with how high you go up in the air, but we had a lot of fun. It was harder than I thought it was going to be! We also went to see the Bar J Wranglers while we were in Jackson. It was a fun night of old cowboy music, and good down home cookin'. I have always teased my brother-in-law Tyler about liking the Bar J Wranglers, but after seeing them live I have a new found respect for that kind of music. It was really a lot of fun, and if you have never seen them, you should plan a trip to Jackson just to see them.

While in Jackson Hole, all the girls (and Grandma, Grandpa, and Trish) rode the stage coach. Addison and Emery sat right on top of the coach. They had a ball!

We also got to ride the Alpine Slide they have at Jackson Hole ski resort. Almost everyone rode, even all the kids. The best part was that my dad's ski didn't work very well, so him and Stella got stuck on the trail right in front of Jerald. Too funny!

After spending about 3 days in Jackson Hole, we went into Yellowstone National Park. But before we even got to Yellowstone, we came up to a group of about 200 people and they were all looking at something. We thought it had to be a bear because there is never that many people gathered around buffalo or elk....and sure enough it was a bear. He was about 2 years old, and had just killed a young elk and was chowing down! It was neat to get to see a bear that close.

While in Yellowstone, we went to see Old Faithful. Matt told me that he had been there before, but hadn't ever seen it go off. Who goes to Old Faithful and doesn't wait the 50 minutes or so to watch it go off?!?! Well, we made sure that he saw it this time.

We crossed the Continental Divide a couple of times, so finally my mom made my dad stop the car so we could get our picture taken by the sign. I love it!

We also drove by a gorgeous waterfall. It was really hard to get a good picture by it because of the sun, but the video shows how pretty it was - even though it is sideways (sorry).

We had such an awesome time! My parents planned an amazing vacation for us all! I don't think we could have had a better time. Thanks Mom and Dad!! We love you guys!
